Born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Anyssa was raised in Vancouver before moving to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of twelve. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in History with high honours from the University of Saskatchewan in 2018 and earned her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in 2023. During law school, she received the Law Society of BC Outgoing President Award for Designing Legal Expert Systems. In her second year of law school, Anyssa represented TRU at the 2022 Jessup International Law Moot where she and her moot partner won the Top Applicant Memorial in Canada.
Anyssa was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2024 and in Saskatchewan in 2025. While practising in BC, Anyssa worked on cases at the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal. Anyssa’s strengths lie in her analytical abilities. Her skillset has been especially advantageous on high-conflict files involving support and parenting time issues.
Anyssa strives to resolve her client’s matters by tailoring her approach to the client’s circumstances and end goals. Family law proceedings are inherently emotionally charged affairs. Anyssa’s goal is to support her clients and ensure their needs are heard, met, and respected at every stage of their family law matter.
Anyssa has three cats, Martin Riggs, Regina Murtaugh, and Lena Getz, named after characters from one of her favourite 1980s movie franchises, Lethal Weapon. On Anyssa’s spare time she enjoys reading and crocheting.
